Franco Baresi #6 (USA World Cup 1994)

Here presents the shirt of former Azzurri and AC Milan legend captain Baresi. 'Piscinin' (Milanese for "little one") has been the best sweeper ever. His experience and supreme defending technique have led Azzurri to the final of USA World Cup 1994.

Fabio Grosso #3 (Italy vs Egypt, South Africa Confederations Cup, Ellis Park Stadium, 18 June 2009)

Fabio Grosso, who scored the winning penalty for Azzurri in World Cup 2006, wore his famous #3 shirt in South Africa. He only wore short-sleeved shirt in the game against Egypt. This shirt was a tribute to former Azzurri with two times the world champions in 1930s.

Andrea Russotto #21 (Italy vs Cameroon, 13 Aug 2008, TJ Olympic Center Stadium, Tianjin)

Andrea Russotto is an attacking midfielder. He's now pursuing his football career in U. S. Catanzaro 1929. This shirt was purchased from mauriz1972ml9q claiming that it's a match-worn shirt. Nevertheless, Azzurri only wore away shirt in the game against Cameroon and Russotto spent all the time on the bench... anyway, it's a special shirt that's worth collecting as this was the first Olympic Games hosted by my mother country.

Paolo Maldini #3 (Italy vs Serie A Stars XI, Rome, 29 Oct 2000)

The match took place in Rome's Olympic Stadium after the Holy Mass for Athletes' Jubilee by Pope John Paul II.

Angelo Peruzzi #1 (England Euro 1996)

Another Euro 96 shirt... this time comes a GK player shirt, #1 Angelo Peruzzi. Peruzzi was one of the best goalkeepers in that era, having won Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year Award for 3 times.

Angelo Di Livio #15 (England Euro 1996)

'Soldatino' (meaning 'little soldier', nickname to Di Livio by Roberto Baggio), the former Azzurri midfielder, wore #15 shirt in Euro 1996, England.

Francesco Toldo #12 (Italy vs Croatia, ECQ 1996, 8 Oct 1995)

Young Toldo played his first match for Azzurri in ECQ against Croatia, substituting Gianfranco Zola after the ejection of Luca Bucci. He had several beautiful saves in that match, but unfortunately he gave a penalty to Croatia and could not keep the clean sheet.

Paolo Rossi #20 (Spain World Cup 1982)

One of the 'oldies' in my collection. Here I must thank Pierpaolo for the precious information about this shirt, which made me learn a lot. Paolo Rossi, who scored 6 goals in WC 1982 which brought him the Golden Boot and Golden Ball, led Italy to win her third FIFA World Cup trophy.

Franco Baresi #2 (Italia World Cup 1990)

This shirt is a replica by 'Old Legend Jersey'. It's also one of my most favourite designs, and I especially like its smooth material feel. Azzurri 'iron man' Franco Baresi wore #2 shirt in Italia World Cup 1990.

Francesco Totti #10 (Korea-Japan World Cup 2002)

This jersey makes me think of the controversial quarter-final match between Italy and Korea... frankly, I don't like the violent style displayed by both teams.
